My Personal Opinions on Rabbit Husbandry

Couldn't have said it better myself: (Really I couldn't, and I know because I have tried!!)

Breeder vs. Pet owner

I think the conflict is caused by a fundamental difference between the pet mentality and the farmer mentality.
A farmer is more pragmatic with regard to animals.  In this regard, how can there be a rabbit over-population as long as there are hungry people in the world?  You wouldn't allow your cow to live in the house, so why allow a rabbit?
The pet owner regards the rabbit as a member of the family.  You
wouldn't leave your child outside in a cage, so why would you leave
your pet out?  They never "buy" a pet, they "adopt" a pet.
These two worldviews are polar opposites, and the only compromise that I can see is to act like adults and respect each other even though you disagree.
